Activating a VPN Connection

In order to access local network resources when off site - say, at home or a coffeeshop, you need to activate a VPN connection on your computer. VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. A VPN is an encrypted, secure connection between your machine and our corporate network.

Typically, you'll use a VPN when accessing computers via Remote Desktop Connection when off our corporate network.

How to Activate a VPN to access a computer via Remote Desktop Connection

  1. Locate Mission VPN inside of Network Tab (The network tab is typically located on the task bar next to volume control)
  2. Click and highlight “Mission VPN” then click “Connect”
  3. Once you connect, please enter your SPARCDOM credentials (This is the same user account and password you use to access your computer)
  4. Once you're connected, click the desired RDP shortcut to connect to the machine
  5. When the prompt launches, input your SPARCDOM credentials and click "Connect"
