Slack Intro and Training Resources

What is Slack?

At its heart, Slack is an instant messaging and collaboration system - on steroids. Communication is divided between Channels, (which are used to separate messages, discussions and notifications by purpose, department or topic), and Direct Messages, which are sent to a single user and act like a traditional IM (Instant Messaging) service.

You can also share files, set up notifications on your desktop and mobile devices, and integrate Slack with hundreds of 3rd party applications. Slack is available for all major platforms, including Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.
