What is G Suite?
G Suite is a collection of cloud-based services that facilitate communication, collaboration, and storage. A big chunk of our essential business tools fall under G Suite: services like email, calendars, and document storage/collaboration. It's one of the easiest to use business software suites available, and because each service is connected under the G Suite umbrella, they're easy to use with each other.
Key Benefits of G Suite
- Access services from anywhere, anytime: Get your email, calendar, contacts, and documents from any computer, anywhere.
- Lots of storage: You get a full 30 GB of online storage for your email, so you never have to delete a message.
- Enhanced message organization and retrieval: With Gmail, you can label your messages in multiple ways to organize and store them more efficiently. And with the Google-powered search feature, you can find any message quickly and easily.
- Easy calendar sharing: You can quickly and easily share your calendar with coworkers and specify the details they can see. Calendar sharing is a great way for you and your team to keep each other informed about your schedules.
- Personalized mailing lists: With Google Groups, you can manage your own subscriptions to mailing lists—called groups—without the need to make requests to the IT Department. You can create your own groups for your projects, teams, special-interest groups, and more. After you create a group, you can easily share calendars, documents and files with the entire group, without having to add every single member’s email individually.
- Real-time collaboration: With Google Docs, you can create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, share them with your team, and view or edit the docs together at the same time. No more having to sign a file out before making changes.
- Integrated chat and video-conferencing: With the Google Hangouts, you can communicate by chat or video-conference instantly with your coworkers right from Gmail. In addition, all your chats can be automatically saved in Gmail, so you can always retrieve important information.
- Easy-to-build team web sites: With Google Sites, your project team can quickly publish an internal web site with shared information, such as documents, spreadsheets, presentations, files, and videos. You can even embed Google calendars and other gadgets (applications) on your site.
