How to Transfer a Call

Dialpad allows 2 kinds of transfers, Warm Transfers and Transfers (Blind). Warm Transfer allows you to speak with the caller you are transferring the call to first. Generally, it's a good idea to do a warm transferTransfer (Blind), also known as just Transfer, will directly transfer the call.

  1. While on an active call, choose Warm Transfer or Transfer on the phone display screen.
  2. Choose from the following options:
    • If the number you want to transfer to is assigned a Quick Dial button (these are the vertical buttons on the right side of the phone), press the appropriate Quick Dial button. 
    • Dial the number directly into the field on the phone display screen.
    • Choose Phone Book from the phone display screen, enter the first few letters of the contact you're trying to reach, then press Search.
  3. With Warm Transfers, Dialpad will automatically ring out to the recipient (while putting your active call on hold). Once your recipient answers, you can press Transfer to complete the connection.
  4. With normal Transfers, Press Dial to send your caller to your transferee.
